Endo, Seiji: The Resonance Of The 54 Chapters Of The Tale Of Genji (Vinyl LP) [ vinyl ]

The Tale of Genji-the pinnacle of Japanese literature, spanning nearly one million characters. Determined to depict the love, hatred, prayers, and transience inherent in this story through 'sound,' Seiji Endo spent eight years composing all 54 chapters and 57 pieces. This work presents a carefully selected collection of pieces from that sonic world, compiled as a double LP. Like tracing the story itself, the music quietly, and at times intensely, stirs the heart.
