Sasakubo, Shin / Bruce, Gabriel: Catharsis (Vinyl LP) [ vinyl ]

'Catharsis,' Shin Sasakubo's 37th album, is a duo effort with Gabriel Bruce, one of the leading Brazilian drummers of our time. Gabriel Bruce is from Minas, Brazil, and Shin Sasakubo is from Chichibu. Noting the similarities between Minas and Chichibu, a town without an ocean and a mining town with it's own unique climate, Shin Sasakubo has been collaborating with musicians from Minas from a conceptual point of view. This completely duo work is a work of lyrical and ascetic extremes, composed of guitar music and track-like elements, and it presents a unique sound world that only a killer musician from a mining town could create. https://diskunion.
