Ben Webster: Atmosphere for Lovers & Thieves (Vinyl LP) [ vinyl ]

Mostly this is Ben in his most devastatingly romantic mood. The tunes are, by-and-large, well worth doing, and anyway Ben makes them sound that way. Nothing ever rags, the pulse is always strong and the accompaniments well suited to Webster's lustrous, lusty blowing. Featuring Kenny Drew, piano - Niels-Henning Orsted Pederson, bass and Alex Riel, drums. Tracks are: Blue Light, Stardust, What's New, Autumn Leaves, Easy to Love, My Romance, Yesterdays, Days of Wine and Roses. 180 gram vinyl.
