Adebowale & the Pioneers: Kilofese / Unnecessary Visitor (Bamia Remix) (Vinyl LP) [ vinyl ]

"""Kilofese"" is Yoruba for ""Do what you want to do"" in regards to freedom from political oppression, expressed by Adebowale Osunnibu, his piercing back-up vocalists, and roaring horn section. This full-force Afrobeat tune confronts these struggles of the everyday person in Lagos in a way that is understood globally; for the farmers, the doctors, the teachers, for you. Unnecessary Visitor (Bamia Remix) flips a B-side into a disco-influenced dance tune that fuses frustration with oppression with the inspiration to move forward."
